From the 11th to the 13th of December, some of Sweden's and Europe's most beloved names in gaming will stream to raise money in the fight against childhood cancer. Now Elgiganten is stepping in as the presenting partner for the Stream of Hope event.
"Stream of Hope together with Elgiganten" will be the name of the three-day event that will bring together some of the biggest personalities in streaming, gaming, and e-sports. Common to all participants is that they play to raise money for childhood cancer research and support for affected families.
Elgiganten will support the project by, among other things, entering a prize pool of SEK 100,000, which is distributed between different gaming tournaments. Money which is donated to The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation.
– The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation's work is incredibly important, and we are happy to be part of Stream of Hope. Gaming has long been a focus area for us at Elgiganten, and to have the opportunity to connect this with a fundraiser for The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation feels completely right, says Alexander Åberg, gaming manager at Elgiganten.
Elgiganten is Sweden's leading retailer of consumer electronics, white goods and kitchens and is one of the companies with the highest turnover in the retail trade. In 2018, Elgiganten was named "Retail Chain of the Year" at the Retail Award trade gala organized by Svensk Handel.
