Elgiganten donates SEK 100.000 to prize pool

From the 11th to the 13th of December, some of Sweden's and Europe's most beloved names in gaming will stream to raise money in the fight against childhood cancer. Now Elgiganten is stepping in as the presenting partner for the Stream of Hope event.

- We are thrilled that Elgiganten, a strong player in the gaming sector, wants to do this with us. Every day a child in Sweden suffers from cancer, and more money is needed to support the research and those affected. With Elgiganten's large network of contacts and commitment, we hope to reach the event's fundraising goal of one million SEK, says Jannica Eriksson, event manager at the Childhood Cancer Foundation.

"Stream of Hope together with Elgiganten" will be the name of the three-day event that will bring together some of the biggest personalities in streaming, gaming, and e-sports. Common to all participants is that they play to raise money for childhood cancer research and support for affected families.

Elgiganten will support the project by, among other things, entering a prize pool of SEK 100,000, which is distributed between different gaming tournaments. Money which is donated to The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation.

- The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation's work is incredibly important, and we are happy to be part of Stream of Hope. Gaming has long been a focus area for us at Elgiganten, and to have the opportunity to connect this with a fundraiser for The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation feels completely right, says Alexander Åberg, gaming manager at Elgiganten.
